African Students’ UNHCR University Corridors for Refugees (UNICORE) Project 2024
Kenyan, Mozambican, Nigerian, Nigerian, South African, Tanzanian, Ugandan, Zambian, and Zimbabwean refugees are eligible to apply for 68 scholarships at 41 Italian colleges. In September 2024, one student will begin the two-year Master in Transnational Governance program at the Florence School Transnational Governance (STG).

At the Florence STG, we support inclusive learning environments that embrace a range of viewpoints and life experiences because we think that education has the capacity to alter lives. This benefits the academic journeys of our refugee students as well as the larger academic community.
Since 2019, UNICORE has given approximately 250 scholarships to people from several African nations who are facing violence and displacement, with the involvement of 45 Italian institutions.
To whom is the UNICORE Award open?
Each participating university releases calls outlining the requirements for applications using a predetermined structure. A specific amount of study courses are available from each university’s academic offerings.

Candidates from Kenya, Niger, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe are now eligible to apply.
